What Is a Remanufactured Engine

Remanufacturing or rebuilding engine blocks means to completely disassemble the engine and then re-machine the cylinder block with complete recovery, with the expectation of the cylinder block to match original specifications or specific performance tolerances.

Considered remanufacturing without identity loss, the cylinder block is the base to receive all new components or enhancements and in essence, when finished, considered new.  If defects are found upon remanufacturing without identity loss, the defects including the cylinder block is eliminated, and a new cylinder block will be needed.

Once it is determined that the cylinder block and cylinder head is solid it will be remanufactured to exacting tolerances so that it can receive complete new critical modules such as complete new valve springs and keepers, Pistons, valves, oil pump, valve seats and many other critical modules.  This engine once completely reassembled is treated as a new engine with a break in period and related care of a complete new engine and comes with a warranty.
